# Terms of Service **Last Updated: April 24, 2026** Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the MedLogAI mobile application (the "Service") operated by MedLogAI ("we", "our", or "us"). ## 1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. ## 2. Description of Service MedLogAI is a health data management application that allows users to: - Import and view Taiwan NHI Health Passbook data (data is downloaded and imported by users themselves). - Track lab results with trend charts and reference range analysis. - View health records in timeline and directory formats. - Receive AI-assisted summaries of imported data and ask health-related questions, subject to explicit prior consent. - Manage health profiles for family members. The Service is **not** a government product, **not** a medical device, and **not** a clinical decision support tool. ## 3. Account Registration ### 3.1 Account Creation You must create an account to use the Service. You may register using email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. ### 3.2 Account Responsibility You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. ### 3.3 Accurate Information You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. ## 4. Health Data and Medical Disclaimer ### 4.1 Not Medical Advice, Not a Medical Device The Service — including all AI-generated summaries, analyses, Q&A, and responses — is for **informational and educational reference purposes only**. The Service: - Does **not** provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. - Does **not** provide prescriptions, dosage guidance, stopping/switching medication advice, or drug interaction analysis. - Does **not** make emergency judgments or determine whether you need ER care. - Is **not** a medical device and **not** a Clinical Decision Support (CDS) tool. - Does **not** replace the examination and judgment of a qualified healthcare professional. ### 4.2 AI Guardrails AI features have explicit refusal topics. When asked the following types of questions, the AI will redirect you to consult a doctor or pharmacist rather than answering directly: - Medication dosage, timing, starting, stopping, switching, or combining drugs. - Emergency judgment (e.g. "Should I go to ER now?", "Is this life-threatening?"). - Specific diagnosis confirmation (e.g. "Do I have diabetes?", "Is this cancer?"). - Quantitative risk prediction (e.g. "What percent chance do I have of disease X?"). - Alternative therapies, folk remedies, or non-evidence-based treatment evaluation. ### 4.3 Consult Healthcare Professionals Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding a medical condition. **Never** disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by the Service. ### 4.4 Data Accuracy While we strive to accurately parse and display your health passbook data, we do not guarantee the accuracy of data parsing, reference range interpretation, or status determination. Always verify important health information with your healthcare provider. ### 4.5 Use Restrictions The following use contexts are **prohibited**: - As a substitute for consulting a doctor. - As a reference for emergency treatment. - For medical decisions about another person (unless that person is a legal dependent whom you are managing). ## 5. AI Features and Third-Party Data Processing ### 5.1 Third-Party AI Service AI features use the Google Gemini API as a third-party processor. Before first use of any AI feature, you must explicitly consent to the data processing terms (cross-border transfer to the United States, data categories transmitted, retention policy). See Privacy Policy Section 3. ### 5.2 AI Credits AI analysis features consume credits. Free users receive a limited monthly allocation that auto-replenishes. Additional credits may be purchased through in-app purchases. ### 5.3 AI Limitations AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors. AI responses are generated by third-party services and do not reflect professional medical opinions. You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for any health decision. ### 5.4 Withdrawing Consent You may withdraw consent at any time in **Settings → Legal & Support → AI Data Processing Consent**. AI features will be disabled, but import, browsing, and other features remain fully available. ## 6. Subscriptions and Purchases ### 6.1 In-App Purchases The Service offers in-app purchases for additional profile slots and AI credit packs. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. ### 6.2 Pricing Prices are displayed in your local currency within the app. Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect existing active subscriptions. ### 6.3 Refunds Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. ### 6.4 Subscription Auto-Renewal Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device's app store settings. ## 7. Family Profiles ### 7.1 Consent You represent that you have obtained appropriate consent from any family member whose health data you import and manage through the Service. ### 7.2 Responsibility You are solely responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of health data you manage on behalf of family members. ## 8. Acceptable Use You agree not to: - Use the Service for any unlawful purpose. - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service. - Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure. - Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service. - Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code. - Share your account credentials with others. - Use the Service in clinical decision-making, medical institution diagnostic workflows, or any context requiring a certified medical tool. ## 9. Intellectual Property The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MedLogAI and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. ## 10. Account Deletion You may delete your account at any time through the app Settings or by email. Account deletion follows a 7-day grace period, during which you may cancel the request. After the grace period, all data associated with your account will be permanently deleted. You do not need to have the app installed to request deletion. ## 11. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedLogAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, health outcomes, or other intangible losses resulting from: - Your use or inability to use the Service. - Any AI-generated content or analysis provided by the Service. - Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data. - Any third-party conduct on the Service. - Any consequences arising from a user disregarding the medical disclaimers in Section 4 of these Terms. ## 12. Disclaimer of Warranties The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. ## 13. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MedLogAI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms. ## 14. Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to its conflict of law provisions. ## 15. Changes to Terms We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. ## 16. Severability If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. ## 17.
